Students and staff from Sagonaska Demonstration School had the rare privilege of being able to meet the Torch Bearer in Belleville as the Torch arrived on its way to Vancouver.


December 15, 2009 - Students from Sagonaska Demonstration School had the rare privilege of being able to meet the Torch Bearer in Belleville as the Torch arrived on its way to Vancouver.

While waiting for the Olympic Torch to arrive, Sarah took a moment to pose with Sagonaska students and staff before her portion of the journey began.

Principal Bev Byrne from Sagonaska was pleased to provide visiting Principal John Barry from Amethyst Demonstration School in London, an opportunity to attend with the Sagonaska students.

Everyone was very excited and pleased to be part of this small but meaningful moment in Olympic History.
