Community Integration

In the social skills program and the school curriculum, the residence counsellors and teachers use the local area to access a wide range of programs and activities.

Some of these include:

• Appropriate use of public transportation
• Public libraries
• Professional theatre
• Recreational facilities for skiing, volleyball, tennis, ball hockey, squash, roller skating, etc.
• Movie theatres
• Local restaurants

Depending on the location of the school, students also have access to community organizations such as scouts, guides and cadets.
